Commissioned by the City of Salem, Virginia, this 2D explainer video breaks down the official application process for nonprofit tax exemption. The animation was designed to help local charitable organizations, religious institutions, and educational groups clearly understand state codes, local eligibility criteria, and required documentation.
Tax-exemption laws and municipal bureaucracy can be dense, technical, and hard to navigate for local organizations. The goal was to simplify the statutory requirements, deadlines, and multi-step filing procedures into a friendly, clear, and visually structured roadmap without losing legal accuracy.
